A Teller, also known as a Cashier, is a front-line banking professional who handles various financial transactions for customers. Responsibilities

  1. Cash Handling: Accepting and dispensing cash accurately and securely, ensuring the proper verification and authentication of currency and coins.
  2. Customer Transactions: Assisting customers with various financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, money orders, and cash advances.
  3. Account Management: Updating customer account information, such as address changes, contact details, and beneficiary updates, as per their instructions.
  4. Cash Balancing: Maintaining an accurate cash drawer balance, reconciling transactions at the end of each shift, and reporting any discrepancies or shortages.
  5. Customer Service: Providing friendly and professional customer service, answering customer inquiries, addressing concerns, and resolving basic account-related issues.
  6. Compliance and Security: Adhering to bank policies, procedures, and security protocols to ensure the safety and confidentiality of customer information and financial transactions.
  7. Record-Keeping: Maintaining accurate records and documentation of transactions, including receipts, deposit slips, and withdrawal slips.
