An Accountant – Accounts Receivable is responsible for managing and tracking the company’s outstanding invoices and ensuring timely collection of payments from customers. Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile customer invoices and payments accurately and in a timely manner.
- Monitor and manage accounts receivable aging, following up with customers on overdue payments.
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing discrepancies and address customer inquiries.
- Conduct credit checks and assess the creditworthiness of new and existing customers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer accounts, including contact information, payment terms, and credit limits.
- Prepare and send regular statements and reminders to customers regarding outstanding balances.
- Analyze accounts receivable data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare reports on accounts receivable performance and provide insights to management.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting principles, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Utilize accounting software and systems effectively to manage and reconcile accounts receivable activities.
- Coordinate with internal teams to streamline accounts receivable processes and improve efficiency.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts receivable.
- Stay updated on changes in local taxation laws and regulations affecting accounts receivable.
- Assist with external audits and provide the necessary documentation.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to enhancing accounts receivable procedures.
- Provide support to the finance team with ad hoc tasks and projects as needed.
Skills
- 35 years old and below
- Bachelor’s of Accounting or related courses
- At least 7 years of experience in a related role
